MIC-100X / High-Speed Photosynthesis Rate Measuring Device
The MIC-100X high-speed photosynthesis rate measuring device is a groundbreaking instrument specialized for measuring the photosynthetic capacity of plant leaves, enabling much faster measurement times.
It's ideal for collecting large volumes of comparative data across many samples. Once complete, measurement data (CO2, temperature, humidity, and calculated photosynthetic rate) is stored on the SD card in Excel format. Simply carry the SD card to freely analyze and edit the data on your own PC.

Key Features
High-Speed Measurement
We've achieved a quarter of the actual measurement time of conventional devices (about 30 seconds per sample). Within a measurement window suited to plant evaluation (roughly 4 hours), you can now collect far more data. Using Auto Mode, measurement in about 20 seconds per leaf is also possible.
Lightweight
We've achieved about two-thirds the weight of conventional devices (total weight approx. 7kg), reducing the burden on field workers and boosting efficiency.
Affordable
By focusing solely on measuring photosynthetic rate and adopting a new measurement method (a semi-open CO2 sensor built into a closed leaf chamber directly beneath the leaf surface, with photosynthetic rate displayed via a predictive calculation model), we've achieved a significant cost reduction.

*1 Repeatability accuracy applies to a photosynthetic rate range of 10–40μmol m-2s-1.
*2 The ambient zero-gas unit is built into the control unit and is used for zero-gas calibration during ordinary comparative measurement. Depending on usage, replace it after about 30,000 measurements or 6 months, whichever comes first.
*3 The calibration standard gas comes as small cylinders for zero gas and span gas. Please calibrate periodically.
*4 If continuous use exceeds 3 hours, we recommend the high-capacity lithium-ion battery, which allows about 6 hours of continuous use.
*5 An ambient-light type and a 2-step switchable-intensity type (700 / 1200μmol m-2s-1) are also available as options.
